Coffee. Oh, the stories these delectable cherries could tell!
Coffee is more than a simple beverage, it’s so intertwined with our daily lives. I think we all can agree, coffee seems to be part of all our special moments, and even some awkward moments!
There are two widely accepted stories about how coffee was discovered. No matter which story you choose to accept, it is still remarkable that the discovery was shared, and for this, we are grateful.
The discovery story of this fruit is not essential to our enjoyment of it. But, it is important to know the origin of this captivating beverage that has become such a big part of our modern-day society.
It is important to realise that behind every cup, are people who are passionate about how your coffee is produced. They are obsessed with providing you with special moments that will be retained as memories forever.
Coffee and community are inseparable. No matter how you look at it, it has long been a part of our culture. From starting at the coffee farmer to the picker, then exporter, through to the roaster, and seller, finally reaching the consumer….
But you already know this, right?
I would like to share with you a little bit about myself and my coffee story….
We all grew up with instant coffee, quick and easy to prepare, made to fit in with our crazy lifestyle, always on the go.
But, is convenience always a healthy alternative, or rather an alternative to our health?
Allow me to take you back to the beginning. My Mom was a nurse, her unconditional caring for total strangers inspired me. Her passion for the well-being of her patients, her co-workers, and her family moulded me into the person I am today.
This unconditional caring made me realise that life was more than just about what I wanted. It’s also about the impact each of our lives makes on the people around us, the footprints that we leave behind when we are gone.
From a young girl supporting the “Beauty without Cruelty” products, a young woman in the working world passionately championing recycling programs at the office, to a young mother telling a sceptical kitchen designer about my very detailed expectations of various kitchen recycling bins – I cared deeply about eco-conscious living and sustainability.
As a mother, I’m committed to install this deep respect and care for Mother Earth and our fellow humans in my children from an early age. To awaken their compass to steer away from mere convenience and comfort, toward a focus on healthy and ethical choices. I believed that it was essential to develop their sense of respect for the communities that work tirelessly and passionately every day to bring us these healthy alternatives.
So, it came as no surprise that in building the Bespoke Beans brand, I have become a passionate advocate for choosing not only organic coffee beans, but also ethically and responsibly sourced coffee beans.
This venture was created out of my love (slight obsession) and respect for coffee.
Organically grown, ethically sourced.
At Bespoke Beans, we go above and beyond to bring you organically grown and ethically sourced coffee beans that tick all the boxes. Making sure that you don’t have to spend countless hours searching for coffee that doesn’t compromise on organic standards or on quality.
Being conscientious about the products we purchase has a far greater impact than we may realise.
In every step of the journey from bean to cup, it all trickles back to the origin – the farmer.
So, if coffee tells your story, make sure it is an ethical one, not only with people in mind but also the farmer. They were and are the provider and caretaker of this incredible fruit which became a daily part of your home, your business meeting, your family gathering, and your memory-making.
One thing that will remain a constant in this unpredictable world, is my passion for providing you with quality, organically grown, and ethically sourced coffee beans.
